cruelty free Australian brand

ONNE beauty. Australian. Cruelty Free ♡

Let’s talk about beauty today! I love discovering new ethical beauty brands and sharing my hauls with you guys.

You’ve probably noticed I like treating my skin well.

I try my best to switch to cruelty-free cosmetics, because I do not support animal testing and I would guess it’s something you don’t want to support either, right?

I recently found ONNE Beauty, a certified organic beauty brand, bunny free, and it’s made in Australia – everything I love!

Today I will tell you about my renewed skincare routine and review a few ONNE Beauty products.

Moisturising Face Mask

I currently use a few different masks, depending on my skin’s condition and mood. ONNE beauty mask is different from all the others I have tried. You can literally feel that it’s made with more than 90% natural ingredients, including aloe, coconut oil and Calendula extract, known for its healing effect.

The scent slightly reminds me of Aveda products – herbal-ish, natural, but lighter and nicer. It penetrates the skin and heals naturally. You can see the effect – skin that’s toned and tightened.

The application is simple. This mask isn’t oily at all, and you don’t need to rinse it. Just let your skin absorb it and then lightly wipe your face, skin and decolletage with a wet towel.

Face Cleanser

This natural cleanser is free of sulphates and chemicals, which are harmful to your skin and the environment. It does not create foam, because there is no soap in it (which is good). First, you will notice its light scent and thick, smooth, creamy but not oily texture. It’s a pleasure to apply it on your face. Aside from the physical pleasure, it’s great to know you’re using a cruelty-free product. It makes me happy to support this cause and I’m glad more and more people and brands realize animal testing is cruel, unethical and unnecessary.

Face Moisturizer

This face cream is moisturizing, with a matte finish and feel. You will love it! The pump packaging is ideal for this cream. It’s free of air and bacteria and is easy to use. You don’t need to open and close a pack of cream every time. :)

All of these products have a short shelf life – they last only a few months, which confirms their organic composition. There’s definitely enough if you don’t forget to use your cream and cleanser daily (which obviously, you should not forget).

How about makeup?

Makeup applies easily on top of this cream, but I would recommend waiting a bit while it penetrates. Honestly, I can see my skin is nourished and glowing (not ‘oily’ glowing, but a natural glow) with these products.

Coffee Scrub

A coffee scrub is not something I usually purchase, but I was excited to try one from this awesome brand. I love drinking natural, freshly prepared coffee, and I often use my leftover coffee blend for scrubbing. However, sometimes it takes time to prepare your scrub. If you don’t have natural coffee in your household, a cosmetic coffee scrub is a wonderful alternative. Already blended for you with coconut oil and sugar, it massages your skin and is nicely scented. Use it after your body washes, on clean skin. Coffee scrubs are renowned for their effectiveness against cellulite. Moreover, they will boost your mood, because, well, who doesn’t love coffee?

Apply it with your palm, massaging your skin with upwards motions. Use shower mittens and pay attention to your buttocks, legs, and elbows to exfoliate and renew your skin to ‘baby butt’ softness!

Sparkling Sponge

Do you use a face sponge? If not, you should definitely consider it. A sponge is very handy – it saves time rinsing off a facemask and cleansing your face. It simplifies the process and saves water too! A wet sponge wipes the product off your skin gently and you need less water. The process is less messy than rinsing your face with just your palms and water. The product doesn’t get in your hair and wherever else you don’t need it to be. When I discovered face sponges, my daily routine became so much easier!

Since I found the ONNE sponge, I replaced all my old sponges. The ONNE sponge is currently my favourite!

What is Konjac Sponge?

First of all, it’s 100% natural and made from a Konjac tree. Thicker and fuller than regular face sponges, it gently massages and cleanses your skin. Use it with a cleanser and/or to rinse off a facemask. It makes rinsing so much easier.

It has a unique gel-like texture, which is gentle when wet. It absorbs more water than any other sponge, and it makes your skin soft and smooth. While using, layers of the sponge release a bubbly water barrier, making its contact with the skin extremely delicate.

Skin doctors recommend using Konjac sponges to unclog pores. They remove makeup or any dirt from your skin. They hold water very well, which makes it easier to clean your skin.

The Japanese knew about the Konjac plant from the 5th century and have used it for centuries for food and beauty treatments. It has medical features and antibacterial properties. ‘Konnyaku’ is a plant with a potato-like root that grows at high altitudes. The Konjac sponge is made from the vegetable fibre of this root. It suits all skin types including sensitive and acne.

Why using Konjac Sponge:

Removes dry skin cells, oil and dirt and fight blackheads
Eliminates excess sebum
100% natural & sustainable
No toxic, GMO & harmful chemicals
Cruelty-free & Vegan
Environment-friendly and 100% biodegradable
