How to surprise someone who already has everything

Hey guys,

thank you for having a look at my blog.

I have recently celebrated my 33rd birthday and I normally post this kind of events on my Instagram and Facebook only. However, I post about this event here on my blog today because I'd like to share this incredible birthday gift idea and I wish anyone else can have it one day :)

I wish anyone of you could organise this for someone important.

I had such an amazing unforgettable gift and an incredible experience that I have decided to dedicate an entire blog post to inspire someone to do something similar.

We have recently moved again and I now live in Sunshine Coast.

I have friends all over the world and here in my new place, I have not got so many new friends yet, moreover, as you may know, one old good friend is better than two or three new ones :)

I was also lucky this year my actual birthday date was on Saturday and I really love celebrating on the day on my birthday, not before or after, that's probably one of my crazy personal ideas :)

The best day and the best birthday gift of my life

So my partner usually does not do anything crazy for my birthday, well, last year I have got an airplane ticket a day before the flight, which was already crazy and cool :) But this time he made an even bigger surprise...

He woke up earlier and went surfing as usually and there was nothing wrong with this.

I woke up and followed some of my daily routines then spoiled myself with various beauty treatments and my home spa :) I wore my Glam Glow mask to glow on my birthday and then a  golden moisturising Korean mask sheet :) Done a nice hair treatment and things like that, you know, the normal things girls do to look and feel better =)

We got ready and went for an aperitif drink before the dinner. Just me and my boyfriend, nothing wrong with it and we have done it before to celebrate many other things.

After an aperitivo and a couple of cocktails we were ready and headed to Locale Italian Restaurant for a dinner.

We walked in and went towards our dinner table when the musician started to play happy birthday song and OMG & WTF 5 of my friends from Sydney (whom I have not seen for more than a year) shouted happy birthday.

I could not believe my eyes and even cried :)

The best gift you can give to someone who has already everything

is to fly the friends from another city :)

My partner organised this about a month in advance, but you may think a bit before and ensure to make it easy for the friends to come to visit, so they can not find a reason why not to come :)

He has booked nice accommodations with the car for them, picked up from the airport in the morning when 'went surfing'.

Of course, these people need to be amazing enough to agree to this :)

What do you think?

Would you ever do this for any of your friends or anyone you love?

Would you like to have this kind of surprise? I guarantee this is nothing comparing to receiving an expensive gift item.

This will definitely will make you a hero if you want to make someone happy or impress.

And we had a beautiful breakfast date with my lovely friends the morning after the party, please, don't mind my happy hangover hair style lol

Here is how to make it right

  • Contact in advance some people who you know are good friends of a person, you can easily find them on Facebook. More invited people is better because it is more likely not many will be able to come due to work and other personal commitments.
  • Explain why they should come over (in addition to the friendship reason), e.g. we had a great weather here and beautiful places to visit, so our friends we happy to have this little fun holidays.
  • Find some accommodation ideas, you can find a big cottage or a nice apartment and explain to your guests how to get there from the airport. Ideally, organise a pickup as they probably do not know where to go from the airport. Tell them how much it will cost if you can not pay for it so they can calculate the budget for a trip.
  • Ensure you do not have any notifications on your phone and ideally do only phone calls, so there are no messages someone can see by an accident.
  • Organise a dinner and book a place or find a location where you will take this person and these friends will be there to surprise :)

I believe memories and experiences are the best gifts!

What do you guys think?
